For this project, we were approached by the developers who asked us to install a comfort cooling solution to a large property covering four levels. This would allow the property owner to keep the house cool during the summer and would also provide supplementary heating to keep the house warm in the winter.
Working from the developers’ floor plans a detailed design was created based on heat calculations for each room, paying particular attention to the orientation, its intended purpose and the size of windows which has an impact on the amount of solar gain. The final solution consisted of 2 Mitsubishi VRF (Variable Refrigerant Flow) condensing units connected to ducted units located in each room along with a wired controller giving full control.
Working closely with the developers and other trades our team was involved from the very start of the build allowing the air conditioning units and pipework to be installed to the main structure of the building. After looking at several different designs the developers opted for linear slot diffusers which are sympathetic to the overall internal design of the property. This project is a great example of the type of solutions we can offer for residential properties and how A2E Services works closely with developers and other contractors to provide a discreet whole house cooling and heating solution.
